On the contrary I think as a business entity this is quite justifiable, a lot of company practice this strategy -even adobe- , think about microsoft versus the netscape era although it ends in antitrust case.

Again apple is making billions of iPhone, the market penetration is steadily increasing, there are millions of apps have been sold, they are dominating and profiting like insane, steve knows this and everybody wants a piece of apple glory and they are willing to do whatever it takes to do it, for apple any wrong step at this point will lead them to their demise, so they are not taking any risk no matter how minuscule it is which I guess has led this to the terms and conditions fiasco.

Plus as a mobile phone customer satisfactory iPhone is undeniable amazing, if you have tried other phones (android, htc, etc) they are yet to exceed this.

And as long as the customers are satisfied, apple couldn't care less about the developer because it's the customers who contributed to the profits not developer.

And for the developer/intermediary software provider as long as the reach is there, they can complain, kick, and scream but if the pot of gold is there then they will have to comply to Mr. Steve.

hmm I should make this as a post.

I've been following this recent news by Apple of not accepting apps created by any any other tool than there own anymore and the outcomes of it; and to be honest, I feel this decision by Apple is so rude, so harsh and so like showing a middle finger to Adobe right on their face.

I just don't feel that there is any justification to it; but then again, its Apple. They are in the middle of everything these days; they can do whatever they want, at least for now but lets see what future holds.

Thanks Tahir!

The banner is quite painful :) but I've learned to enjoy it now, in fact I'm planning to include those in my portfolio as well.

Great post Rahmat.

I see your point, and I have to agree with you. I feel like developers these days including myself, are afraid of learning new technologies and new platforms.

Oh and I see that banner-ache of yours. :)
